Katherine Shorey

A formative experience in my life was working with my mother. As a self-taught graphic designer, she continuously had projects and events that required advertising materials.

I grew up evaluating her projects and collaborating with her in the creation of resources and advertising pieces. my mother unintentionally taught me how to be a good designer who could look over work with a critical eye. Because of my mother’s influence, I graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College with a dual degree in graphic design and photography in 2022. my desire to expand my knowledge of graphic design led me to SUNY Oswego in 2023 where I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
